D. Nyasha Chagwedera, MD, PhD is a psychiatrist and physician-scientist at the University of California, San Francisco, where she serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry. Her clinical work focuses on caring for patients with co-occurring mental health and metabolic conditions, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from Harvard College, followed by an MD and PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Immunology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at UCSF. She then completed her residency in adult psychiatry at UCSF, where she served as Chief Resident for Research.
Dr. Rachel Radin, PhD

Rachel Radin, PhD is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. Her clinical and research work centers on the intersection of eating behavior, stress, and metabolic health, with a focus on improving outcomes for individuals with dysregulated or stress-related eating.
Dr. Radin earned her PhD in Medical and Clinical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, following graduate training at Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed her clinical internship in pediatric psychology at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital and pursued postdoctoral research training at UCSF, where she received a National Research Service Award to study mindfulness-based interventions for stress-related eating.
